There are some parts of the country that only have a one week long turkey season. What if the weather is less than ideal during that one week that your turkey hunting season is open? Should you just stay home or should you brave the snow, the rain, or the heat and get outside and hunt turkeys?

The number 1 rule when it comes to killing turkeys is that you can’t kill them sitting in your living room. We have to get outside in the woods to have success turkey hunting – no matter the weather.

In fact, there are some instances where the weather can actually help our chances of having success.

Wild turkeys tend to react certain ways to certain weather conditions. Knowing a turkey’s reactions to weather conditions can be a boon to our turkey hunting success.
